My time in Trail Running Mecca – UTMB, Chamonix

I am not religious at all, but if I had to choose the most spiritual thing in my life, it would be trail running. So it is only fitting that,…

Race Report: Inside Trail Racing Lake Chabot 30k

I dunno if it’s because I’ve been starved of outdoor adventure over the past couple months of marathon recovery and then ankle sprain recovery, but i couldn’t have been happier to spend all day out on a mountain pushing my comfort zone and developing new skills. After a few ski days over the past couple years, I am now comfortably skiing blues which I honestly never thought I would be able to do. Trail running will always be my number one but I am excited to have more ways to be in the mountains. Now time for a beer 🍻 #timetoplay #sufferlover
Being adaptable has been crucial to being able to maintain consistency over the past couple years. Sure I’m training for a road marathon but I’ve had a cranky adductor all week and have been putting in a lot of dark, flat, solo miles lately. So instead of sticking to the original plan of an 18 mile long-run- workout on the road, @mariofraioli and I decided to just get some social time on feet in the books to keep building aerobic base while giving the adductor time to settle down. I’m so thankful for a coach who gets it and for the amazing crew @sfrunco who are always there with open arms on a Saturday morning when you need them. . And boy did I miss that view . . . #timetoplay #guforit #ladyshredders #trailrunning #sfrcbrobirds #happyplace #willsweatforbeer 📷 @mariofraioli @hillygoat_climbs and me
